This is a Galvanized 2" x 3" tube Winch Post Stand for Boat Trailers with 3 inch Wide Trailer Tongues. This means that the mounting holes in the base of this winch post are drilled ~3 1/16 inches apart to accommodate our range of 1/2" x 3 1/16" galvanized U-Bolts . The base and support are welded to the tubing to create a strong and sturdy winch post stand. The main beam of this stand measures 24 inches. You can use the measurement photos to help you compare measurements with your boat trailer's winch stand to make sure you are getting the right part. You will mount this stand to your trailer tongue using the correct 1/2" diameter U Bolt that is 3 inches (3 1/16") in width, while the length of the U Bolt used will depend upon the height of your trailer tongue. For example, many boat trailers have 3" x 3" trailer tongues, so you would need two Galvanized 1/2 inch x 3 inch x 4 5/16 inch Trailer U-Bolts. Most Winch Post Assemblies are made up of two pieces, a post (also known as a stand), and a support (also known as a winch seat). They will U-bolt together to create a mounting service for your trailers winch. When selecting a winch seat to pair with this post you will want to make sure that you are selecting one that is compatible with 2 inch wide posts
