This collar features different sized strawberries on the vine. We're positive your dog is as sweet as the strawberries on this collar! This collar is available in - 1", 1.5" and 2" width collars. Also available in collar styles- Buckle side release collar, Martingale collar, and Martingale with buckle collar. Our collars are made with a 100% cotton fabric covering, nylon webbing core, welded metal hardware, and a contoured plastic buckle for 5/8" and 1" width collars. 1.5" & 2" buckle collars have flat buckles. Martingale collars are also known as Greyhound Collars or Humane Choke Collars. The Martingale Dog Collar was designed for Sighthounds (ie, Greyhounds, Whippets, Italian Greyhounds, Borzoi, Saluki, etc) because their necks are larger than their head and they can slip out of traditional side release dog collars; these collars have gained popularity as training dog collars with other breeds in the recent past because trainers prefer the humane choke aspects. A martingale with a buckle dog collar offers the easy on/off option of a standard dog collar with the increased functionality of the martingale loop. This option is great for very large dogs with large heads because you can take the collar on and off without readjusting it each time to fit over the head.. Please measure the size of your dogs neck before ordering. If your dogs neck measurement is on the border of two sizes please order the larger size, each custom collar is made to order. 2" width collars are mainly intend for big dogs. • HOW TO DETERMINE WIDTH - If your pup has not worn a wider width collar before take a piece of paper and fold it to desired width & put it around your pups neck. If it doesn't look comfortable or appropriate, please order a smaller width. Primarily, 1.5" and 2" width collars are appropriate for dogs over 50 lbs & dogs with especially longer necks, ie. greyhounds, whippets, and large breed dogs. 1.5" & 2" width collars with buckles have buckles the same width as the nylon.
• KNOW THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF YOUR PUPS NECK - If you do not know the circumference of your pups neck please measure it before ordering. Please do not use sizing from another company. Our rule of thumb is that you want to get the circumference of your pups neck as close to the middle of a size range of a collar as possible. Our size chart is broken down by inches. • SIZING FOR A MARTINGALE COLLAR – When choosing a size, you have to make sure the collar will open up enough to fit over your pups head. Measure your pups neck as well as the widest part of his/her head as well to ensure the collar will open up wide enough to fit over the head. This does not apply to Martingale with Buckle collars because the collar opens from the buckle like a standard side release buckle collar for easy on and off and functions the same as a martingale collar
